Firstly, whist 2009 will bring new challenges for us all, on behalf of everyone at Therco may we take this opportunity wish you all a Happy and prosperous New Year.

Secondly, following a two day audit by the ASME review committee, we are delighted to announce that Therco is now duly authorised to design, manufacture and certify ‘U’ stamped Pressure Vessels, Air Cooled & Tubular Heat Exchangers. This rigorous audit was a welcome test of the most recent developments within our QA system. The high level of scrutiny applied to the workmanship in our new dedicated fabrication shop, design control activities and in house inspection techniques also left us with the relevant peace of mind to continue moving forward with confidence.

Finally, whilst a further bulletin will follow with more details, our new dedicated assembly and test facility is now fully operational, the confidence mentioned above is bolstered by the fact that this new facility includes a 40t Gantry crane system with 2 x 20t hoists, amongst other new facilities. Our Sheffield operation is now subsequently split into three key areas, a dedicated machine shop, a dedicated fabrication shop and this dedicated assembly and test facility.
